University Hospitals Case Medical Center, a 947-bed Magnet(TM) tertiary medical center, specializes in adult/pediatric medical and surgical specialties. In conjunction with Case Western Reserve University, we form the largest center for biomedical research in the state of Ohio.

In this position, you will supervise personnel and laboratory operation in the Donor Room Blood Bank-Transfusion Medicine Service. As needed and as appropriate, you will perform Therapeutic Apheresis and HPC Collection. You will also coordinate notification to all blood donors of reactive infectious disease testing results and follow up as well as assist with Laboratory support functions, writing/updating procedures, and monitoring/maintaining equipment.

To qualify, you must have a BSN and be a RN with current license to practice in the State of Ohio. You must also have a minimum of 5 years of Donor Center/Donor Room/Blood Center experience with extensive knowledge of FDA regulations; Infectious Disease Marker Testing and all aspects of Donor Collection regulatory issues. Must also be proficient in Trima Accel and Haemonetics Instrumentation, computer systems, and Apheresis Donor Collection. COBE Spectra experience helpful.
